Hello and thank you for visiting! I am Nancy Kerr and I am the creator of Plate-A-Cup™.  I was raised by a single mom of seven children, so being a picky eater was not an option; unless, I was willing to go to bed hungry.  In my home growing up, you get what you get, and you don’t throw a fit!  I learned to eat anything, everything and be grateful for whatever was put in front of me.

 

Coming from a big family and having lots of friends, there were always parties to attend that centered around good food. I also enjoyed going to food festivals or trying out the new up and coming food trucks.  As fun as it should’ve been, I would always experience the same problem that was frustrating.  I would often lose track of which drink was mine when I put it down to eat at a party.  At the end of my own parties, I would collect all the abandoned drinks around the house and dump them down the drain.  To me, that was money going down the drain.  If I was at a public food event and there were no tables, I would struggle to hold my drink, hold my plate, and eat at the same time.  I realized there was a problem to be solved and that is how Plate-A-Cup™ was conceived.
